Connect to Your BMS

We connect to your existing Building Management System using BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, Modbus TCP/RTU, or MQTT — whatever your BMS speaks natively. No new hardware is installed. A read-write software gateway is deployed on your facility's network, requiring a single outbound HTTPS connection to our platform.

The gateway is read-only during the baseline phase. Write access is restricted to the specific schedule parameter objects you authorize — never to control logic, safety overrides, or setpoint ranges. Physical setup takes under 2 hours.

7-Day Read-Only Baseline — No Schedule Changes

During the first 7 days, Voltpathio reads your interval meter data, maps equipment topology from BMS point discovery, and identifies occupancy patterns from historical scheduling data. We do not write a single schedule change during this phase. The baseline is observation only.

At day 7, you receive a facility profile report: equipment map, 15-minute demand profile with peak event analysis, degree-day normalized consumption pattern, and an estimated savings range by equipment category. Automated optimization begins only after you review and approve. There is no auto-start — you control when the system becomes active.

48-Hour Load Prediction, Refreshed Hourly

After baseline approval, our load forecasting model generates a 48-hour consumption prediction refreshed every hour. The forecast incorporates external weather data (dry-bulb temperature, humidity, cloud cover), your building's thermal response profile, historical equipment behavior patterns, and occupancy calendar signals.

The model does not operate on generic assumptions. It learns the specific relationship between outside conditions and your facility's internal load — which is different for a food processing plant in August than an office tower in the same city on the same day.

Automatic Schedule Writes — Before You Need Them

Voltpathio writes optimized schedule parameters to your BMS automatically — before each shift begins, before a weather event, before a peak-rate window opens. HVAC pre-conditioning starts earlier on hot days. Lighting zones step down before occupancy drops. Machinery cycles shift to off-peak windows.

Every change is logged with a reason code, a forecast-based justification, and the measured outcome delta. You can review the schedule change history at any time in the dashboard, and any change can be rolled back in one click — or automatically reverted if the outcome delta falls outside your configured tolerance.

Real-Time Savings Dashboard and Weekly Reports

Your monitoring dashboard shows kWh consumed vs. predicted, cost savings vs. weather-normalized baseline, demand charge avoidance, and the full schedule change history. All metrics are updated in near real-time from your BMS telemetry — there is no end-of-month reconciliation delay.

Weekly email summaries go to your facilities team: top three schedule changes by savings impact, forecast accuracy for the prior week, and upcoming forecast alerts for the next 48 hours (weather events, occupancy changes, peak-rate windows).
